Marketing Coordinator (Admin)
Job Purpose:
The Marketing Coordinator is a key member of the Pay-Less Marketing team, responsible for connecting above-the-line campaigns with in-store execution. This role ensures that holiday thematics, Dinanche Deals, Måolek Rewards, and all marketing activities are visually communicated to customers in an engaging and effective way. By driving visual merchandising, signage, store communications, Chagi samplings, and events, the Marketing Coordinator helps deliver a “promotionally exciting” environment that strengthens the Pay-Less brand and elevates the shopping experience.

Visual Merchandising Program

Design and coordinate themed seasonal displays, holiday décor, and promotional setups.

Collaborate with the Merchandising Manager and Graphic Artist to develop store-level displays.

Support execution through store communications and tours to ensure consistency and brand impact.
Store Signage

Manage permanent store signage such as logos, aisle markers, wall graphics, department signs.

Audit and refresh signage across all stores, coordinating with graphic artists and vendors.

Oversee campaign signage distribution and store-initiated signage requests.

Maintain signage inventory and implement storage and tracking systems.
Chagi Sampling Program

Develop and implement in-house Chagi (sampling) SOPs, guidelines, and schedules.

Provide supplies and training for Promotions Ambassadors to run effective in-store samplings.

Coordinate vendor-led samplings and ensure alignment with Pay-Less branding.

Incorporate product tastings into Promotions Ambassador meetings to support product knowledge.
Store Communications & Engagement

Distribute monthly promotional calendars, reminders, and updates to the respective Pay-Less employees.

Conduct store tours to help further communicate promotional activities.

Manage the Promotions Ambassador program which include support, training, recognition, and feedback.
Events Management

Plan and execute in-store and marketing events.

Develop event plans including timelines, budgets, resources, and responsibilities.

Coordinate logistics, promotion, and on-site execution.

Evaluate event success and refine future events based on assessment.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

Education/Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1–3 years of experience in marketing, retail, or visual merchandising.

Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to handle multiple deadlines.

Creative eye for design, visual displays, and customer experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with design software a plus.

Team player with strong collaboration skills and attention to detail.
